Beginning on November 28th we will be studying Advent within our Sunday School classes. We will be mainly focusing on the writings and thoughts of Rick McKinley, Chris Seay, and Greg Holder from their book entitled Advent Conspiracy: Can Christmas Still Change the World?

Advent Conspiracy will force us to look at what we have allowed Christmas to become and whether or not it can still make an impact on the world. We will focus on our desire for consumerism and the impact that is has on our Advent time of year. Advent is supposed to be a time of preparation and calm leading to our celebration of the anniversary of the birth of Christ but unfortunately it has become something completely different.

I look forward to the next several weeks with you beginning November 28th as we discuss what it means to worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all.
