“Passing on the faith” are words that accurately describe the Children’s Ministry at FBC Plano. Because the elementary years offer a short window of opportunity for growth in all aspects of life, we are committed to providing high quality spiritual growth opportunities for boys and girls. These windows of opportunity for elementary children are too important to spend time on entertainment. Instead, we focus on proven educational methods as we guide the spiritual growth of children. Check us out and see if we don’t offer just what your child really needs.
Experiencing God through Bible Study
Each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. boys and girls meet for Sunday School. We use curriculum which provides age appropriate lessons that are rich in Bible content. Through large and small group learning experiences, every child’s spiritual growth is encouraged. All this is under the watchful eye of experienced, competent teachers.
Experiencing God through Special Events
Vacation Bible School is a week of highly focused Bible-learning experience for boys and girls held in the summer. For five straight days, we concentrate on one particular Bible theme and are able to go into greater depth of learning than is possible in the Sunday morning Bible Study.
Children's Camp (grades 3-6 completed) offers a special spiritual growth opportunity in a camp environment. Many boys and girls make their profession of faith while at camp. This week of Bible study and worship enables them to easily focus on their own relationship to Christ and to respond in appropriate ways.
Parents' Night Out is offered on specific Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for babies through 5th grade. Each fun-filled evening centers around a specific Bible concept taught through art, various gym activities, games, and snacks. The cost is $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family. The deadline to sign up for PNO is the Sunday before each event date. A registration form PNO Registration Form.pdf is required for each event and a Medical Release Form Medical Release.pdf is required once a year.
