Guest Information

Greeters Outside and Inside our Facilities

When you arrive at First Baptist Church, you will encounter our hospitable greeters both outside and inside our facilities. They will enjoy meeting you, answering questions, providing information, and directing you to our Welcome Center, restrooms, or anywhere else you need to go. During inclement weather, our greeters have you covered…literally, by providing umbrella assistance. Also you might choose to take advantage of our covered drive through. We’ll see you Sunday, if not before.

Welcome Center

We invite our guests to check out our Welcome Center on Sunday mornings. Come experience some of the friendliest and most hospitable people you will find anywhere, and enjoy the free refreshments of our 15th Street Café. Do you need information for all age groups about our church programs, activities, and ministries? Or do you need information about Sunday School classes and small groups; and assistance in selecting a class/group for you and your family members? No problem, our Welcome Center greeters will take good care of you…even escorting you and other family members to your classes of choice. We’ll see you Sunday, it not before.

What Can I Expect on Sunday Mornings?

Our church is a warm and inviting fellowship. We have two worship services on Sunday mornings, “Classic” worship service at 8:30 a.m. and “Celebration” worship service at 11:00 a.m. In between those times we have dynamic Sunday School classes for every age group…preschoolers through senior adults. Additionally, here is what else you can expect:

  • To be greeted warmly both outside and inside our facilities, have information shared with you, have your questions answered, and directed to our Welcome Center.
  • To be asked to provide information for us. You can provide as much information as you're comfortable providing. After being our guest we would like very much to drop a small gift by your home to thank you for being our guest, and be available to answer any questions you might have. Perhaps most importantly, we would also like to know if there is anything we could pray with you about.
  • That we take the safety of your children seriously. If a child visits with you, there is some basic information we will need to get when you take them to their class, such as an emergency contact number, allergies, medications, and such. Feel free to read about our Child Protection Policy
  • To experience first-hand what so many other guests and new members have experienced when we say…Welcome Home!

What Should I Wear?

Anything from jeans to suit and tie can be found at any given FBC Plano event. During Sunday morning worship, the majority of people are dressed in what would be considered "business casual." Sunday and Wednesday nights are even more casual and comfortable.
