There was a Special Called Business Meeting last Sunday, October 29, to vote on the recommendation from the Leadership Council regarding the church property and facilities. This meeting included a vote by paper ballot. The final count of the vote was 86% in favor of the recommendation to relocate.
The ballot also included a statement for Affirmation of Unity, where people indicated whether or not they would support the church family even if their preference was in the minority. 96% of ballots indicated a positive affirmation of unity.
Thank you to all who participated in the month of prayer as we sought the Lord’s will regarding this decision for our church’s future. Please continue to pray for the church as plans progress and for the Strategic Planning Team, which will continue to serve as the church pursues the acquisition of land as outlined in the recommendation. We thank them for the many hours of work that they have already put into this project, and extend our heartfelt appreciation for their commitment to serving the church.
