Special Friends Sunday School Class

Ages 3-8

Every Sunday Morning from 9:15 - 11:30 a.m. in Room C108

We welcome all special friends who like to learn and who want to make some friends! Our goal is to teach Bible stories so that children will learn the wonderful word of God. We will use music, visuals, manipulatives, and dramatic play to bring the stories to life. Our approach to teaching the Bible is in center based learning where we emphasize key Biblical concepts and vocabulary. Children are encouraged to follow a schedule that begins with center time, followed by a Bible lesson in a whole group setting, snack time, and concluding with additional activities in the art and storytelling centers. The children will learn Bible stories from a Lifeway Curriculum called Bible Teaching for Kids. We will also use Gospel Light’s Special Needs Smart Pages created by Joni and Friends.

During the second hour we take the children for a walk to the Prayer Garden and then we play in the gymnasium. Our classroom is ready and all we need is children to start the fun.  There is no cost to attend Sunday School and membership at The First Baptist Church of Plano is not a requirement.
