Dear Church Family,

As we continue to adjust to the reality of the coronavirus (COVID-19), First Baptist Plano is taking further action to protect those in our congregation and ultimately those in our community.

The following schedule changes will be implemented for the coming week beginning Sunday, March 15:

- Sunday Morning Bible Study/Sunday School is cancelled.
- Both worship services will meet in the GREAT HALL at their regular times – 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Childcare will be available for both services for children ages 5 and under.

Moving both services to the Great Hall allows us to live stream BOTH services in their normal time slot for those who do not feel comfortable attending church. We currently stream on Facebook but we will also attempt to stream to the church website, www.fbcplano.org, for those who are not connected to social media.

If you feel ill, please stay at home. If you are in an at-risk group considered more susceptible to illness, please feel free to stay at home.

If state or local officials ask that public gatherings be suspended, then we will comply and communicate as promptly and clearly as we are able.

- There will be no further activities on campus following the worship services this week. This includes cancellations to all Sunday evening activities, all Wednesday night activities, and all groups that meet at other times during the week.
- The church office will maintain regular hours until further notice. (Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.-noon)
- We encourage you to stay closely connected to your church family during this time, even if you are not able to meet on our campus.
As the writer of Hebrews challenges, “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up on meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

Possibly meet in homes as a small group to have a Bible study, sing songs, watch the live stream, pray, talk of spiritual things, and encourage one another. Stay connected by phone, email and video calls. Reach out to those who might be alone or scared or confused. Let’s not forget that we serve a God who is in our midst wherever we go and wherever we are.

- Please continue to support the church financially during these confusing times.
We will not be passing an offering plate this week, but will have baskets at the exits.

You are always welcome to give by texting FBCPLANO to 73256, using your church life app, or giving online at www.fbcplano.org/my-fbc/. The mail still seems to be running as well!

Click the link to yesterday’s coronavirus response message for more information about the measures that First Baptist Plano is taking to do our part during this challenging time.

We will continue to monitor the situation in order to swiftly, but carefully, make informed decisions about the next steps forward.

We love you and look forward to seeing each of you soon.

Blessings,
First Baptist Plano Staff
